SUMMARY:Meeting with active members on the RIF list and Akron-AAUP attorneys
DESCRIPTION:A virtual membership meeting for Akron-AAUP members on the RIF list will be held on Saturday\, August 1st at 4pm. The purpose of this meeting is for the Chapter’s legal counsel to explain the actions the Chapter has taken to date and to address questions we have been getting from members who are on the RIF list. \nPlease note that this meeting is for Akron-AAUP members only. You should have no family members\, legal counsel\, or anyone else present during the meeting – just like you would not bring anyone else to an in-person Chapter meeting. \nRecording of the meeting is not permitted. Please do not record audio or video of the meeting. \nIf you have questions you would like the Chapter’s counsel to address\, please use the registration form or email information@akronaaup.org. Questions must be submitted by 4pm on Friday\, July 31st. \nAs you may know\, one faculty member recently sent a solicitation to certain other faculty on the list requesting that they join him in pursuing a grievance alleging Article 33 violations. Our counsel will also be addressing this topic at the meeting on Saturday.
