President Miller’s latest communication presents the Administration’s perspective on the University’s budget. We trust you, our colleagues, to read our respective briefs and make your own judgments about the veracity of our statements and theirs. But, that’s not why we’re responding.
We were discouraged to receive yet another communication that seeks to lay blame at the feet of the faculty, yet fails to mention students or student success when talking about the future of The University of Akron. Akron-AAUP hopes that the Administration can refocus its attention on students; we can and must work together to solve our problems and strengthen the University.
