Dear Colleagues,
Akron-AAUP would like to welcome Dr. Joe Urgo as our new Interim Executive Vice President and Provost. We concur with President Miller that this is the right administrative change to make at an important turning point for the university. Strong academic leadership is needed now, and Dr. Urgo possesses the necessary credentials and experience to lead us through the next academic year as we embark on a search for a permanent Executive Vice President and Provost.
