FALL 2013 LIAISON ELECTION AND MEETING
As required by our Akron AAUP constitution, the full dues-paying faculty in each department must elect liaisons for the 2013-2014 academic year. Departmental Liaisons from 2012-2013 should hold a secret ballot election in their department by early October and notify the Executive Director, Russ Davis, of the election results. (e-mail: russ.davis@akronaaup.org) A Fall 2013 liaison council meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16th, from 3:00-4:30 p.m. Student Union 335. Please make all attempts to attend this meeting as the liaison council will then vote for the two liaisons who will serve as voting members of the Akron AAUP Executive Committee. FALL 2013 AKRON AAUP CHAPTER MEETING
All full-dues-paying members of Akron AAUP are invited to the Fall Chapter meeting which is scheduled for Wednesday, October 23, 2013, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Student Union 335.
The Fall Chapter meeting is a time for members to become better informed of our newly approved Collective Bargaining Agreement which will run through May, 2015. An update on the grievance process and finances of our Chapter will also be presented. And, of course, your questions and comments are always welcome.
