Akron-AAUP Table at Homecoming Was a Success
The tailgate was a wonderful opportunity for our bargaining unit faculty and their families to come out and have fun. We were lucky to spends some time with our new President Gary Miller and his wife Georgia, as well as students and other members of the university community. Thanks to everyone who came out. Akron-AAUP is inviting all bargaining unit faculty and their families/friends to join us at our table at UA’s Inclusive Homecoming Tailgate on Saturday, October 12, which is also Family Weekend on campus.
The tailgate runs from noon – 3:00 p.m. in Lot 10 — the parking lot just east of Infocision Stadium (for more information: (https://www.uakron.edu/homecoming/hc/events#tailgate). The Homecoming Game against Kent State kicks off at 3:30 p.m.
We have invited President Gary Miller and members of the Board of Trustees to stop by to chat and get to know us a bit better.
There will be 12 food trucks and 2 cash bars. Wear your Akron-AAUP gear or buttons, and pick up a free drink ticket from us. Don’t have any Akron-AAUP gear?
